Pool Hours Have Been Changed to 11 – 5
The pool hours are now 11 – 5. Previously, the hours were 12 – 6. Pool attendance has been zero after 5.
The Pool is Open
The Lilac Park Pool is now open for the season. The attached document outlines the operating protocols consistent with CDC, California, and Calaveras County guidelines that have been put in place to allow the pool to be opened.
The pool will be opening soon
Calaveras County is entering phase 3. As a result, the Lilac Park Pool will be allowed to open. The pool is being configured to abide with the state and county requirements. At this time, we do not have and exact date, though we expect the pool to be opened sometime this week, i.e., the week of June 14. There will be an additional announcement on this page that will include requirements and restrictions for using the pool.

Agenda for June 13, 2020 Board Meeting
3 Items of Interest: Pool, Lot Clearing, Late Fees
- Pool-
We are getting the pool ready for the season. We do not know when we will be able to open, but the plan is to be able to open as soon as we get the okay from Calaveras County and the State of California. - Lot Clearing –
We contacted the Sheriff’s Department and were informed that lot clearing, checking on the state of your property, etc. by non-resident homeowners are activities NOT considered to be in violation of the Sheriff’s request to shelter-in-place at your primary residence. This seemed obvious but thought it best to contact the Sheriff before making a statement. - Late Fees –
Late fees for 2020 dues will be waived provided payments are received prior to Aug 1, 2020.
County Maintenance Requests
The board has been making requests for county maintenance using the on-line system for about a year. A username was created indicating the request is from the HOA. The County response has been very good, though it not clear if the fact that it comes from the HOA makes any difference. Last year we requested all the drainage ditches in Lilac Park be cleared and within a week, the County crew began work. On HOA request, the County also cleared the overgrown vegetation on the island where Vista intersects with Ponderosa. Most of the requests have been for potholes and roadside vegetation, and these are often completed within a couple of weeks. Having the HOA submit requests for things like potholes eliminates duplicate requests and allows for the possibility of expanding the request to include other issues the the same area. If you have a request, send an email to the info@arnoldlilacparkHOA.org with the subject “County Maintenance Request”. If it seems like the HOA should make the request, we will submit it to the County. If it seems best that the request come from the homeowner personally, they will be informed by email. Homeowners are, of course always free to make requests themselves. If so, we recommend using the on-line system as it seems to have a better response record than phone calls.
May 2020 Board Meeting
The next meeting of the HOA Board will takes place on Saturday, May 9 at 10AM at the pool. The agenda is attached.
Annual HOA Lot cleanup
This Saturday, April 25 there will be an effort to clean-up the approximately 2 acre HOA owned parcels that surround the pool. If you are a full-time resident or currently living in Lilac Park, your help will be appreciated. Work will start about 8AM. Bring along whatever tools you might have, e.g., rakes, lopers, etc. Please wear a facemask. Work gloves are a good idea as this is messy work. We plan to try our best to maintain social distancing guidelines. Note that we will be burning wood and pine needles on the site so if you have issues with smoke, please take this into account. This is NOT a call for people who are currently residing outside Lilac Park to come up to help. Looking forward to seeing whoever is motivated to show up at the pool.
